Reliance Jio has launched a new Rs 99 plan for its JioPhone users in the country. In this plan, users will get daily calling and data benefits.
“We realized that there are some users who may want lesser data and therefore must get the plan at a lower price. This will reduce the monthly spends straight away by nearly 50%,” said a Reliance Jio spokesperson.
The new 99 plan offers users 500MB per day high-speed data, free unlimited calls, and 300 SMS for a period of 28 days.
Reliance Jio has also launched the Monsoon Hungama exchange offer and two more plans—Rs 49 and Rs 153—for the Jio Phone users. Rs 49 plan offers unlimited national calling, 1GB of total data and 50 free SMS for a period of 28 days. The second plan offers unlimited national calling, 1.5GB per day data (42GB in total) and 100 SMS per day for 28 days.
Reliance Jio’s anticipated Monsoon Hangama offer has also kicked off on select stores in India. The offer was announced in earlier July at the 41st Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) Annual General Meeting (AGM). The offer went live at 5pm on July 20th via Jio Stores in India, and is now available through all retail stores. Reliance Jio has also announced a special recharge plan for customers that opt to go for the Jio Phone Monsoon Hungama offer.
Under the Monsoon Hungama offer, users can buy the Jio Phone at Rs 501 and will get this money back after a period of three years. The users can get a new Jio Phone by exchanging any old 2G/3G or 4G (non-VoLTE) phone (in working condition). The old phones must not be damaged or have any missing/ broken/ burnt parts. The phones must be exchanged along with their battery and charger.
