Oppo Realme, the online exclusive brand of Oppo, has sold 400,000 units of Realme 1 smartphone in India in 40 days. The phone was launched in May this year, and is giving tough competition to Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro and the Asus ZenFone Max Pro M1.
The Oppo Realme 1 has been ranked as the “highest rated phone” with a 4.4 rating on Amazon India, and has also topped the Amazon Bestseller rankings in the past two months.
“The sales figures of Realme 1 resonate with the brand’s vision of addressing the real issues present in the smartphone market and provide ultimate user experience,” said Madhav Sheth, Chief Executive Officer of Realme.
“We are glad our customers have been supportive of our products and have been great endorsers for the brand. Being a new entrant in the smartphone market, these results encourage us to deliver a wider range of Realme products in the future.”
Oppo Realme 1 is powered by a MediaTek Helio P60 system-on-chip. The 3GB RAM/32GB inbuilt storage variant of the smartphone comes with a price tag of Rs 8,990 ($130) in India. Other two variants available in the country are: 4GB RAM with 64GB of storage (Rs10,990) , and 6GB RAM with 128GB of storage (Rs 13,990). The phone features 6-inch Full HD+ (2160×1080) IPS LCD display with an 18:9 aspect ratio, Colors 5.0 on top of Android 8.1 Oreo, 13MP rear camera, 8MP front-facing camera, 3,410mAh battery, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, microUSB port, dual nano SIM slots, VoLTE, 3.5mm headphone jack, WCDMA, FDD-LTE, and TDD-LTE.
The phone is available in Diamond Black as well as limited edition Moonlight Silver and Solar Red colors.
Oppo has also announced that all variants of Realme will be updated to Android P in the future.
